Boho chic

My boyfriend and I went to the mall to look for fabrics. We saw this patchwork, tie-dye, rustic fabric which had a bohemian vibe.

In the fashion world, bohemian, or boho, refers to a a state of mind regarding fashion that is individual, romantic, and free-spirited.

 I bought a half meter of fabric. Which cost me 75 pesos. =)
I plan on doing a scarf for my upcoming bora trip but I decided to do a long halter top instead.

Who are boho chics?

Boho chics are artsy and creative women. They usually favor art and are into mixing styles and colors.

In short, mismatched clothes and over accessorized style!





Bohemian styles favors those who are exotic-looking (dark hair and warm complexion) and laid-back gals who likes to experiment with fashion...

My lomography trick.

I was charmed by the unique, colorful, and sometimes blurry images that a lomo camera produced.

I don't need formal techniques and guidelines in shooting a picture. The more spontaneous you are, the better the picture's outcome.

However, I don't own a lomo camera. With my iphone I can already capture pictures which give the same lomo effect a lomo camera gives.

Earthy tone make up

Earth tones are an ever-popular color palette. These palettes include more than just brown.

Earth tone is a color scheme that draws from a color palette of browns, tans, greys, greens, oranges, whites, and some reds.

For my earthy tone make up, I used 3 earth tone colors.




For my outer eyelid I applied earthy orange red eyeshadow.



Then I applied orange eyeshadow on my inner eyelid.

Ofcourse my 3rd eyeshadow color is brown. Which I applied on my outer lower eyelid.

After applying the 3 earthy colors, The next step is to apply an eyeliner.

Eyeliner can make your eyes pop -- if you know how to apply correctly.

Outer line should be thicker than the inner part.

Eyeliner is one of the most important cosmetics and can give you a dramatic look without much time or effort.

Big curls

To get beautiful big curls, I usually use a curling iron. I don't use hair spray or any hair product because it makes the hair stiff and it doesn't give a natural look. The secret to long lasting curls is to get a good curling iron which supplies good amount of heat. Anything between 180 degrees celsius and 220 will do the job, any hotter and you will do irreversible damage to your hair.

Big curls can  give volume to the hair.

Floral sewed headband

Did you know that headbands started in ancient greeks? They wore hair wreaths on those time. And as time goes by they started decorating their wreaths with jewels made of gold and silver.

But headbands weren't only an accessories for them. They also believed that the tight pressure that the headband provided around the forehead could relieve or prevent headaches and they call them "headache bands".

Nah! I dont think so, because everytime I wear a headband I always end up removing it. It gives me headache after wearing it for an hour.

They should provide different sizes for the headbands because not everyone have the same head circumference. That's why alot of ladies end up with a throbing head.

But ever since Gossip Girl aired, Blair Worldorf's chic and unique headbands trended like a communicable disease!

Every where I look, I see girls with big colorful headbands. It looks funny though, because not everyone can pull off the look.

But little baby girls are adorable wearing it! Especially babies with no hair yet.

Here is my version of sewed headband... It doesn't give me headache because it fits my head perfectly. I can wear it the whole day. Plus it didn't cost me anything. It's a left over fabric from a dress I made.

My 2 color eyeshadow

Don't be afraid to mix the colors of your eyeshadow. Since its summer, bright colors are refreshing and hip.


Try to use 2 colors. I always apply 2 colors. Today I tried avocado green and lavender.





I'm happy with the eyeshadow I usually use. My bff gave it to me. Since then, I never purchase a single eyeshadow because all colors are already in there! Plus it's long lasting!



To make my eyes look bigger I applied my gel liner and a mascara.

Also try the lip balm color bloom of maybelline! It changes color once you apply it and it's cheap too. (99pesos)

Strawberry backless dress

Vintage backless dress with bateau neckline and a gathered skirt. Style is inspired by zooey dechanel "new girl" character. Fabric print is strawberry which is super cheap for only 120 pesos/yard. I only consumed 1 yard of fabric for this one. Sewn it for 2 nights and it's my first sewn dress. =) More to come!
